Overview:
Students will be expected to
participate in all required practicum events (including 2 hours of community service). They will also be asked to stop by the radio
station periodically. They will be
trained on how to use the stations web design software and be required to make
updates to the site weekly. They will
also be required to design graphics to be used on the web page.
Assignments:
Required to complete 2 hours of
community service (MANDATORY)
Students will be required to create a min. of 5 new graphics
due at different times throughout the semester. Due dates will be e-mailed to
the students.
Students
will also be required to update the events page of the website at different
times throughout the semester. In
addition, they will have to demonstrate that they know how to use the program NVu to update information on the web page.
Students
will be required to meet with me personally during my office hours periodically
throughout the semester for personal training on the software. If there is a
schedule conflict another time may be arranged.
In addition to this if any help is needed with any of the assignments
feel free to contact me.
EXTRA-Students
will also be able to attend any WVYC event and take photo’s that will be later
put on the web page.
Evaluation: Students will be evaluated on participation
and effort (including due dates).
